Plugin Portal

Installing a plugin normally means finding it on a marketplace, downloading a jar, uploading it to the server and restarting. Plugin Portal turns that into one command typed in chat.

How it works

Server owners search every major plugin marketplace from chat, preview a plugin and install it, without leaving the game or stopping the server. Plugin Portal keeps track of what it installed, flags anything outdated and updates itself too.

Premium adds a web dashboard for editing a server’s plugins in bulk, recognising plugins that were installed by hand, and verifying downloads against their marketplace.

What we built

The in-game plugin is the visible part. Behind it sits a scanner that watches the marketplaces for new releases, an API that serves the merged catalogue, an admin panel for merging duplicates, and an Azure OpenAI function that spots when the same plugin is listed on several sites.

  • In-game plugin (Kotlin)
  • Marketplace scanner and Discord bot (Go)
  • Website and catalogue API (TypeScript)
  • Duplicate detection on Azure OpenAI
  • Admin panel for merging listings
  • Premium web editor
