Paid plugins get leaked and their keys get shared. MC License gives plugin developers cryptographically signed license checks, limits on how many servers a key can run on, and automatic key delivery when someone buys.

How it works
A developer adds one check to their plugin with the MC License library. Every check is signed with RSA, so the response cannot be faked by a cracked server and cannot be replayed from an earlier valid one.
When someone buys the plugin on BuiltByBit, Polymart or Tebex, a key is created and delivered automatically. From the dashboard the developer sees which servers are running each key, and can limit, expire or block them.
